Laleh Zoughi is the founder of Zoughi Law group, LLC. She is admitted to practice in New York State and Federal Courts of Southern and Eastern districts of New York.
Ms. Zoughi’s areas of concentration include civil litigation as well as employment litigation, counseling, negotiations, and appeals focusing largely on the representation of plaintiffs in the employment discrimination cases. She has represented clients before federal, state and local administrative agencies. Ms. Zoughi gained expertise and insightful understanding of the discrimination claims process while working at the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Ms. Zoughi also represents small businesses and individuals in commercial transactions and litigation, as well as Landlord-Tenenat disputes and immigration issues. Prior to the formation of Zoughi Law Group, LLC, Ms. Zoughi worked as a solo practitioner representing clients in the areas of Employment law, Commercial litigation and Immigration law. Ms. Zoughi began practicing law in a boutique law firm where she was immediately exposed to and gained hands on experience in all aspects of litigation in Federal and State courts. She expanded her litigation experience working in large New York law firms representing Fortune 500 companies.
Ms. Zoughi earned her law degree from Touro Law School, graduating with the highest honor of summa cum laude. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and received scholarships and numerous awards for academic excellence. She was an active member of the Human Rights Clinic and represented refugees in the New York Immigration Court. Ms. Zoughi studied Comparative and International law at the University College London Faculty of Law in London, England and the University of Technology Faculty of Law in Sydney, Australia.
Ms. Zoughi is admitted to practice in New York State Courts and Federal Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.
